One Arizona cat hoarding case in 2015 was so bad it gained national attention by the news program Inside Edition. AZ Bio co-owner Joe Trasser said the homeowner was as nice as she could be, and very thankful.
“She just has a problem knowing when enough cats is enough,” Trasser said. “She was really relieved to see how clean her house was after two days of cleaning and disinfecting it. Now you can hardly tell there were ever cats there.”
Deputies of Maricopa County’s notorious sherriff, Joe Arpaio, sentenced most of the felines to not so hard time a wing of the county jail. They’ll be cared for by inmates.
“The food is great. They eat better than the inmates,” said Arpaio.
As for the homeowner, she vows to have no more cats.
